[1004] How Korean Media Outlets Are Highlighting #KimSoohyun’s Return to Acting and Calls for Disney+’s #KnockOff Release

There is growing interest in when we will be able to see Kim Soohyun acting.
— Newsen

After a hiatus of about a year and six months, Kim Soohyun has resumed official activities at home and abroad one after another, and attention is now turning to his return to his main job as an actor and Disney+’s Knock Off, which has been kept from public release for a long time.
— Maeil Business Newspaper

The cheers of 20,000 people that filled Manila proved that the global market still wants Kim Soohyun. Disney+ will now need to break its “60 billion won silence” and confirm the release schedule for Knock Off, responding to the actor, the production team, and viewers around the world.

@graffychi I know throwing a gift is wrong, but the clip actually shows the fan wanted to give it to Soohyun. Since they couldn't get close, Soohyun told them to toss it. It hitting Manager Ryu was just an accident. Later, the manager picked up the gift and Soohyun smiled

KIM SOO HYUN DRAWS 20,000 FANS TO MANILA AS “OUR FOREVER WITH YOU” BECOMES A NIGHT OF REUNION

Dearest Gentle Reader,

It seems Manila had something rather important to say — and judging by the noise inside the SM Mall of Asia Arena, it was not prepared to whisper.

An estimated 20,000 fans gathered on October 2 for BENCH x Kim Soo Hyun: Our Forever With You, an event that marked the actor’s return to public appearances after a 16-month hiatus.

The scale of the gathering had been anticipated since BENCH announced the event, with reports estimating the arena could accommodate around 20,000 attendees.

Kim Soo Hyun’s return follows a turbulent period surrounding allegations linked to his past relationship with the late actress Kim Sae-ron.

He denied dating her while she was a minor, while Seoul police later decided not to refer an underage-dating allegation to prosecutors, citing insufficient evidence.

Yet, Dearest Reader, the Manila evening offered a rather striking picture.

There were cheers. There were tears. There were emotional tributes from fans — including a specially prepared video and song that visibly moved the actor.

For supporters who travelled from different parts of the world, the evening became more than a fan meeting.

It was an opportunity to demonstrate their continued support through their physical presence — and, quite literally, their purchased tickets.

Whatever storms may have surrounded the actor, Manila made one thing abundantly visible: thousands of fans were there to welcome him back.

And that, Dearest Reader, is a reunion worth reporting.
