If a person has already received the benefits of reservation in education and then secured a government job, should they voluntarily step aside and let someone from a more disadvantaged family benefit next?

Maybe the answer isn’t simple, but the question deserves discussion.

The purpose of reservation should be to provide a pathway to equality, not to create a permanent dependency on preferential treatment.

If someone has received substantial educational support, should recruitment still be based on caste-based reservation?
