@swyx So true. Also a lot of these deep research reports were word fillers when a single 1-pager would’ve done the job equally well. Gemini’s deep research was painful to read.
@deepakshenoy So true. But I think this is more amplified if a foreigner points out those weaknesses. We take it well if it's coming from within but even then it has to be framed really well or people will start mixing things up and nuance goes for a toss.
@Ravisutanjani Practically, the entire amount will be covered. If RBI decides to enforce this rule literally, it will cause a bank run on all other banks in the entire country.
@LukeParkerDev pnpm install in a monorepo takes 1s for me and that's installing dependencies for 5 different packages.
Only caveat is that your git worktrees have to live on the same partition as the original repo.
@Tugrul_Guner@marktenenholtz Connect your personal devices over the public internet securely. I have a desktop sitting 2000 kms away from me and I can access it at 100 mbps+. Bonus if you setup your own peer relay on a cloud like aws/DO.
@Kenu73@ujjwal1600 >VFS might scare you but if you are confident and you know what you are doing don't get intimidated.
So true. Applicants need to be stubborn with VFS especially if you know the application fulfills all the required criteria. VFS does tend invent new rules on the spot.
That role is already fulfilled by whatsapp/imessage groups. They can simply outrun any builder.
Also this has been tried multiple times before. One was Path and there was another (I'm forgetting the name) where you built your own social network (your own UI/themes/features) and then invited friends.
It feels pretty obvious at this point that someone’s going to make billions building a social app that’s just for friends, no AI slop, no brainrot, calm design, chronological feed and no concept of followers
@imYadav31@shantanugoel@bevel_health@adityaag $$$. General consensus among developers is that iOS users are willing to pay while Android users are not. Also easier to pirate/crack apps on android and not so on iOS. So both lead to companies prioritizing iOS first.
