An iconic and significant moment for the Princess of Wales and @Earlychildhood 🇮🇹🇬🇧
Today, the Princess of Wales met with three individuals who played a fundamental role in shaping the philosophy of the Reggio Emilia Approach:
• Eletta Bertani, the first president of Reggio Children from 1994 to 2000 and one of the founders of the educational model.
• Ione Bartoli, the first female councilor of the Emilia-Romagna Region and a pioneer alongside Bertani in the battles for women's emancipation.
• Carla Maria Nironi, a close collaborator of Loris Malaguzzi who participated in the birth and growth of Reggio Children.
The Princess spoke with them about educational issues as well as the historical and cultural factors that influenced the development of this approach.
