🔥 Hankley Common wildfire:

‼️A glass bottle was found near the origin of the fire.

Leaving/dropping litter is a criminal offence - this is the impact it can have.

Take your litter home when enjoying the outdoors.

We are devastated to hear of the loss of two firefighters from @OxonFireRescue, and a member of the public, following a major incident in Bicester.

⚠️Our crews attended an outdoor fire today at Sheets Heath Common, reported as deliberate.

The fire has sadly impacted wildlife.

These actions are a criminal offence that we investigate with the police.

If you spot a deliberate fire please:

📱Call 999 if you see an active fire.
📢If you have information, contact Police 101 or Crimestoppers 0800 555 111.

Our crews left Ash Ranges yesterday evening after tackling a wildfire affecting 12 hectares (about 30 football pitches).

Incident update ⬇️

⚠️ The Fire at Headley Grove, Headley Hall is now out.

From 6pm, we'll be scaling back the incident.

Four fire engines, one aerial ladder platform and a water carrier will remain on site overnight to dampen down hotspots.

First use of the NHS Pharmacy First Service that launched this year and it was brilliant. Appointment and prescription within 20 minutes. If anyone isn’t aware, it enables pharmacies to treat/prescribe for 7 common conditions = putting less stress on GPs. ✅ @NHSuk
