@TorontoStar The market is finally indicating clearly that prices and interest rates need to come down. If people are not willing to pay what you are asking then it’s overpriced plain and simple. It’s not housing nobody wants, it’s housing they still can’t afford.

@metromorning the ONLY way house prices are going to come down is to increase SUPPLY. As with the grocery stores, now that everyone (except the basic boring general public) is making more profits, businesses are not just going back to making less money. GOV MUST STEP IN.

@jen_keesmaat And yet to the average person it’s still largely unaffordable to buy a house or apartment in Hamilton. Rent is out of control and we all know what house prices are like. If you’re moving from a million dollars plus in TO it’s very different than trying to live locally.

@jetpack Thanks for the reply - I’d love to do this by messenger or email if possible? I’m simply trying to edit the site and yet when I log in absolutely nothing comes up that is editable. No pages, no posts, no templates… host has given the owner admin access but not editing ability.

@NPR @NPR they are not “stuck” as the article implies… the one variable that can and should move now is the price. The sooner all sides realize prices can actually drop, the market will become active again. Not rocket science.
