Thank you for your honest reporting. As you pointed out in your article, it was hard not to notice the amount of times Tobin used the “collaborative” wording. Im no reporter, but as a fan I was hoping someone would call that out during the press conference. Why doesn’t anyone say “that’s a nice word, but what if that ‘collaboration’ is what’s not working?” Same thing about the inability to close out games being in their DNA. My mind immediately wants to ask “If losing games like that is a DNA problem, wouldn’t the best course of action be to change the DNA by making big changes?” Implying front office structure, coaching changes, etc?
@JoeGoodberry@MrKCincy I don’t want to take that from him. But, I’m curious, could a case be made to scramble less, and throw the ball away more so there’s less risk of injury? More passing plays plus more pressure on oline, plus opportunities to scramble equals more opportunities for injury?
@JoeGoodberry Is it typical for teams (offenses) to have to scrap parts of the playbook together every year like this? I get that defenses adjust and therefore offenses need to evolve. But this feels like scrapping from the bottom of the barrel every single year.
