INSTEAD OF WATCHING AN HOUR OF NETFLIX TONIGHT.
This 1 hour Stanford lecture by Joel Peterson will teach you more about negotiation and getting what you want than most people learn in years.
Bookmark it and give it an hour, no matter what.
The interesting bit isn’t the chief of staff, it’s the kaizen loop. An assistant that scans what other builders are doing every Friday and proposes changes to its own config?
That’s not productivity, that’s a new operating model for solo founders.

“Over the next few years, we think the entire financial stack for startups (payments, banking, capital raising, going public) is going to be rewritten.” @ycombinator
100% agreed. We’re in the midst ins a seismic shift of the way we interact with money.
This new stack is very powerful, but also non trivial to build.
That why we built @iron - the enterprise grade banking and payment API powering the stablecoin economy.
Serious stablecoin builders choose Iron!

My challenge to you as we wrap this series:
Stop chasing the next feature and start building your Leverage. Don’t just build a product that just works, build one that survives the noise.
This wraps up my short 5-day series on Product Strategy.
Have a nice weekend, folks.
The Series Finale! I called this the "90-Day Ruin" Test
Early in my career, I thought I had a "dream team." Great culture, solid plan, happy users. Then we got a new executive
Within 3 months, the whole thing fell apart. Priorities vanished. The roadmap became a mess.
Real strategy is moving from having "nice to have" to being "impossible to live without." It’s about being so essential that 90 days of silence from your dev team wouldn't shake your customers' loyalty at all.
Your job isn't to make every decision. Your job is to give your team enough information so they can make the decisions for you.
Stop micromanaging the "How." Start obsessing over the "Why."
Day 4: Build with clarity.
I used to think a packed schedule meant I was winning. I’d spend 8 hours a day in "alignment meetings" and go home exhausted, thinking I was a great leader.
Actually, I was just fixing a broken system.
Can your lead engineer make a high-stakes choice on a Friday at 4:00 PM without calling you for permission?
If they have to ask you, they don't have enough context. If they know exactly what to do because they understand the "Why," you’ve succeeded.
