@heitoresco@Coolio_Art Numerous dinosaurs already had keratinous crests, so I see no reason not to imagine that the keratin of the crest extended across the face. I'm not saying this is a fact, but it seems reasonable.
@heitoresco@Coolio_Art Furthermore, if we can accept that an Anhanguera had teeth and a face full of keratin (as most reconstructions suggest), why not a spinosaurus?
I'm not saying it's likely, but I see no reason not to explore it!

This update is in collaboration with Amelia Zietlow, Mike Polcyn, and Ron Tykoski at the American Museum of Natural History. Today they have just described a new species of Tylosaurus, named Tylosaurus Rex, meaning "Knob Lizard King".

@Coolio_Art I bugged a biologist about their research once and apparently there is a dedicated lower lip muscle in agamids and chameleons as standard, that’s how they get that sort of ‘lowered lip teeth exposed’ gape during threat displays. No idea about the top lip tho,
