The foundational step towards offering more services that will allow our customers to save time, effort and money. That's MGUSD.

shortly after we started bridge, terra-luna collapsed, ftx imploded, btc declined >75%, nfts crashed.
*all* of crypto was uninvestable
whatever this is, it’s not as bad as 2022. tokens are crashing but many of the core products are here to stay (stables, perps, lending, etc)

The hardest part of stablecoin payouts is not the protocol.
Josh Gordon-Blake (@_therealjosh) and Dante Reminick (@DanteReminick) on what operational scale really looks like, and how MoneyGram is going from send and receive to a global digital wallet:
Owning productive assets via the stock market has been the best wealth building mechanism of all time.
You are working to convince an entire generation to focus on meaningless short term bets. You actively work to destroy the wealth of your customers.
Big news, and I'm on 🧵 for the second time in as many weeks,
Last week, @StellarOrg and @The_DTCC announced a partnership to bring tokenized securities settlement to Wall Street.
Today, @MoneyGram launched MGUSD - their own dollar-backed stablecoin - built on Stellar. MGUSD is issued by @stripe 's Bridge, with smart contracts from @m0 and wallet infrastructure from @FireblocksHQ. It is live in the US today, rolling out globally to 60 million customers across 200 countries and 500,000 retail locations.

Introducing MGUSD.
MoneyGram's native U.S. dollar stablecoin.
Natively issued on @StellarOrg.
Built with @Stablecoin, @M0 and @FireblocksHQ.
Live in the U.S. today.
Today we launched MGUSD.
This wasn’t a decision made overnight.
This is the result of five years of putting stablecoin to work in the real world.
The outcome: A purpose-built stablecoin to power @MoneyGram global network.
Not for traders or institutions, but to make the experience better, faster, and more cost effective for our customers.
MoneyGram moves money across 200+ countries and territories, serving millions of customers a year through nearly half a million retail locations and a digital platform that supports both fiat and stablecoin transactions.
@_therealjosh, EVP and General Manager MGO at @moneygram, will take the stage at Stable Summit IV: NYC.

MoneyGram is joining @Tempo as its anchor remittance validator, actively contributing to the network’s operation, security and reliability.
Another step toward a more open, interoperable payments network, where stablecoin rails support real-world money movement at scale.
On the @consensus2026 mainstage yesterday with @krakenfx’s @arjunsethi and @fortunemagazine’s @bdanweiss:
"The thesis hasn't changed: we believe stablecoins are going to touch every part of our business. If we get the product right…we can save our customers time, effort and money in the long term." - @anthonysoohoo
Crypto transfers are typically instant and seamless unless users want to convert their digital currency into cash.
Today, we’re changing that. We’ve partnered with @krakenfx to make digital assets usable in the real world, enabling their millions of users to cash out through our global retail network.

For all the #Nuggets fans and even a select few Denver media members who believe Peyton Watson is purposely sitting out, stop it with that garbage.
PWat wants to be out there with his brothers, he wants to be part of winning a ring, showcasing his skills.
Kudos Matt & Ryan👏🏻👇🏻
When simulation becomes the norm, it weakens the human capacity for discernment. As a result, our social bonds close in upon themselves, forming self-referential circuits that no longer expose us to reality. We thus come to live within bubbles, impermeable to one another. Feeling threatened by anyone who is different, we grow unaccustomed to encounter and dialogue. In this way, polarization, conflict, fear and violence spread. What is at stake is not merely the risk of error, but a transformation in our very relationship with truth.
