The lore is huge, and there are still so many stories they could explore instead of repeating the same destiny-driven stories. A series centered on Mitena could’ve been really interesting too 🤐
So there's another Encantadia sequel? Hopefully they move away from another “chosen one” prophecy this time. They could expand the world instead through spin-offs or prequels about Etheria, Mine-a-ve, or even the earlier Bathalumans.
Some characters suddenly become overpowered or important just because the prophecy says so (Terra), while others get sidelined, weakened, or even sacrificed to make the "chosen one" stand out (look what happened to the 4 original Sang’gres, Lira, Mira, etc.)
Dont really like “chosen one” prophecies because they make stories feel predictable and limit character development. Instead of characters growing through their own choices and consequences, everything starts revolving around destiny (Mitena).
It is so confusing why the writers threw all of that away and reduced her to just being Gargan’s follower. And to make it worse, she was defeated easily by Terra (fuck that prophecy).
Imagine having the most interesting lore in the entire series. Being born an ivtre and a sang’gre, revealed as the new Mata, even hinted at becoming a possible Etherian queen, and can handle the most powerful weapons, yet none of this was properly developed or resolved. #SanggreProphecyFulfilled
I wonder if Rhian was also disappointed with the direction they took for Mitena, especially since she seemed to believe Mitena could still be redeemed. So much wasted potential for her to become an ally, but the writers kept painting her as suspicious over and over again. At some point, it stopped being interesting and just became frustrating.
In the end, she still died as Mitena without ever truly being loved or accepted. Her twin was practically useless, her father only used her, she tried to become good but was pushed away, and even her only "friend" didn’t fight hard enough for her. Just another tragic character who never got the proper ending she deserved.
It’s been six years, let her and the cast have some peace. And honestly, some of you need to step back and focus on your own lives. Find other interests, because it’s always the same recycled rants and complaints you keep fighting about anyway.
Not surprised Olivia finally deactivated her account. HOTD fandom (from both sides) has been so toxic toward the cast that you really can’t blame them for stepping back and doing the bare minimum interactions.
Having a meltdown over a trailer and unverified leaks, and building entire narratives out of headcanons without even watching the new season or reading the book (just relying on TikTok edits and biased YouTube videos)
