A man worked as a security guard in a company. One day, he found out that his ex-wife had been hired as a manager in the same company.

On her first day at work, she saw him standing at the entrance in his security guard's uniform. Before they could talk much, the company's owner walked over and asked, "Do you know the guard?"

The woman replied, "Yes, I was just talking to him."

The owner smiled and said, "He is one of the most honest employees in our company. He has worked here for 10 years, and we have never received a single complaint against him."

The woman then went to her office and joined her new role as manager. Months passed, but the guard remained quiet and unhappy.

One day, the owner noticed his sadness and asked, "You haven't looked happy for a long time. Tell me, what's bothering you?"

The guard finally shared his story. He said, "Ma'am, the manager in this company is my ex-wife. I worked day and night to support her education so she could build a successful career. But after getting her first job, she divorced me and left."

The owner listened carefully and said, "Don't worry. I'll handle this."

She later called both of them into her office.

Looking at the woman, the owner said, "Do you know a man whose wife left him after he sacrificed everything to educate her and help her become successful?"

The woman replied, "Yes, Ma'am. If that's true, then his wife treated him very badly."

The owner then said, "Stop pretending. That wife is you. You left the man who stood by you, and you also claimed to be unmarried while joining this company."

She added, "If you could betray someone who supported you for years, how can I trust you as an employee?"

The owner then terminated her employment.
