@JoaoSobral Hi Joao, I'm doing security at Prosus. I'd like to get in touch with you to exchange ideas. Please let me know a good channel to do so over DM, thx!
@ryanaraine@craiu@juanandres_gs Really only 30?! The conversations
/discussions/opinions and content are really good, I'm feeling privileged to be one of those 30 then! Keep it up
Excerpt from @elastic's global threat report - I've said it before and I'll say it again, controls such as network segmentation will protect you significantly more than being about to detect the hottest new technique.
It’s been 10 years since Russian murderers shot down the MH17 passenger plane in the skies over Ukraine. The whole world witnessed then who came to wage war against Ukraine and that Russian evil is a threat not only to us but to all.
298 people were killed, including 80 children—citizens of a dozen countries from different parts of the world.
Russia’s accountability for this atrocity is inevitable. Everyone guilty of this and other Russian war crimes will undoubtedly hear the verdicts they deserve.
Eternal memory to all victims of Russian aggression.

Respectfully, your proposal does break encryption.
I am happy to spend as much time as you need reviewing in as much detail as you are comfortable with exactly how it breaks encryption, and why this is so dangerous.
📣Official statement: the new EU chat controls proposal for mass scanning is the same old surveillance with new branding.
Whether you call it a backdoor, a front door, or “upload moderation” it undermines encryption & creates significant vulnerabilities

This showcases the European issue in tech. Our fragmented home market and Brussel’s deliberate action to prevent the formation of European global champions have lead to our absence in these and many other tech related rankings.
This talk, where @mikko interview @thegrugq about opsec, the xz-backdoor, state sponsored attacks and cyber-warfare in Ukraine, is the most interresting cybertalk I have watched for a very long time. Nuanced and detailed about complex topics. Thanks!

This is impottant: European governments say they’re going to do “targeted scanning” on encrypted messaging apps, but their plan is to build a mass surveillance system while using the word “targeted” to placate politicians who are concerned.
The good folk over at @watchtowrcyber have confirmed the rumours that there is indeed an unauth RCE in Fortinet FortiGate found by the Olympe Cyberdefense team, who are releasing full details tomorrow.

Time to patch. Again.
