Excited to participate in the @IntlNeuromod conference #INS2024 at Vancouver, CA. I will be presenting ‘Improvements in Somatosensation and Balance during Postural Transitions in Cerebral Palsy with the use of Stochastic Resonance Electrical Stimulation’.
Last week, I successfully proposed my dissertation! I can finally call myself a PhD candidate 🎉 Grateful for the journey ahead in academia. #PhDCandidate#ResearchMilestone
@jamesbtracy Believe it or not my squiggly word is ‘teh’ i.e. the. And the number of time we use ‘the’ in our text is ridiculous. Apparently it is the most used word!
I might have signed up for more teaching today.
I always wonder how senior researchers manage everything: research, teaching, publications, presentations, grad students, family… I struggle!
And do we need to love the entire package to be a “scientist”. #AcademicChatter#phdchat
I still struggle with writing an email. If I can, i just avoid the situation. Example, in class setting, instead of John/professor, I have a question, I say ‘ummm I have a question.’ Or I won’t ask only.
Let’s not talk about the team lunch or dinner.

Worked on a side project for @ISSS_UD as a part of Ibuddy Mentorship Program built to cater incoming international students. We help students navigate @UDelaware as they begin their journey as #BlueHens in a whole new country.
I was behind the camera. #ibuddy
One more week until we kick off #STEPtemberUS! Are you ready?
There’s still time to register! When you step up and fundraise as part of STEPtember, you’ll help fund life-changing scientific advances to change what’s possible for people with #CerebralPalsy. (1/2) [ID in alt text]
4 years ago, I was a 'new' international student at the @UDelaware, lost in my own excitement and worries. Years later, it has been wonderful to share the same feelings as an Ibuddy mentor and to help answer some queries of the international community at UD.

We are excited to welcome the new international students joining the University of Delaware! The IBuddy student mentors will be sharing information to help with a great first semester at UD. Join us on Zoom every Wednesday in June to ask questions and to meet some of the mentors.
Finally submitted my project for #IRB review. The satisfaction is unreal. Phew!
And yes, I keep an #achievement board. PhD’s need it the most because we tend to forget the little things. :-)
