As we come together to celebrate Democracy Day, I am filled with a deep sense of gratitude and hope for our beloved nation. Today, we honour the journey we have taken, the sacrifices made, and the progress we have achieved in our pursuit of a democratic society.
Democracy is not just a system of governance; it is the embodiment of our collective will, our aspirations, and our commitment to freedom, justice, and equality. It is a testament to our resilience and our unwavering belief in the power of the people to shape their own destiny.
As we reflect on our democratic journey, let us remember the countless men and women who have dedicated their lives to this cause. Their courage and determination have paved the way for the freedoms we enjoy today. We owe it to them, and to ourselves, to continue striving for a more just and inclusive society.
Happy Democracy Day!
