This week, we learned that German grocer Aldi is adding another 180 stores in the U.S. this year — and not a peep about Canada.
Meanwhile, U.S. food inflation is running at roughly half of ours, despite Washington’s tariff bonanza.
If that’s not a wake-up call, what is?
The Federal Court of Appeal has ruled that the government’s use of the Emergencies Act during the Freedom Convoy was unreasonable.
When governments stretch the law, public trust erodes.
This case is a reminder of how fragile our democracy is.
When millions of people lose the right to work, travel, and socialize, governments must act with humility and restraint. Invoking the Emergencies Act when police indicated the situation was under control crossed a dangerous line.
Freedom and liberty endure only when we are willing to defend rights, even those we may not agree with.

@DaddyRolleda1 If only @Wizards_DnD had the same respect and reverence for DnD history as you do, they wouldn't have alienated half of their customers. We can always count on you to give us the skinny on the interesting history of our beloved hobby.
If you believe free speech is for you but not your political opponents, you're illiberal.
If no contrary evidence could change your beliefs, you're a fundamentalist.
If you believe the state should punish those with contrary views, you're a totalitarian.
If you believe political opponents should be punished with violence or death, you're a terrorist.
@yoshi_v1 @EuropeInvasions "is this racism?"
Well, I guess it depends.
Do you think if a random Russian born dude was pissing on his property he'd react the same way? I think so.
Maybe it's best you go clutch your pearls someplace else...
I am sorry you were harassed today.
Of course, it shouldn’t be that way.
There’s better language, and a time and place to debate policies and what’s best for our country.
Mr. Singh, what country are you exactly suggesting my husband wants?
People out there are hurting. And yes, they are angry. But my husband has not been the man in charge for the last eight years. That’s your friend, Justin Trudeau. People didn’t wake up angry one day without reason. The policies implemented by the government that YOU support have caused much harm.
Why are criminals released so easily? Why are so many court cases tossed? You want safe streets? Then why are you continuously supporting the harmful Liberal policies that caused this mess?
You want to talk about the country Pierre Poilievre, my husband, wants? Then listen carefully to his policies and actually watch the man he is. I’m tired of you and your friends portraying my husband as someone he is NOT.
He married a Latino woman and fully embraces my culture. He married a strong woman and is proud of it. He supports, celebrates, and promotes strong women around him. He is a loving father of two and incredibly protective of our young, vulnerable daughter. He loves to read books to bebé Cruz. Just tonight, he was reading *Le Petit Prince* to him.
The country my husband wants is a country where hard work pays off, so that blue-collar workers like cabinet makers like my brother don’t have to choose between rent or food. Where housing is affordable, so that immigrants can adapt to their new home and actually afford one, like my parents were able to do many years ago. A country that is proud and where our military men and women are supported, because it is only fair that we support the people willing to give their lives for our country and freedom, like my other younger brother.
Mr. Singh, the only person you have to blame for the current state of our country and people’s mood and desperation is the man currently in charge, and those who keep him in charge.
@MikeSington Jealous he knew 3 girls back in high school? Besides, you really shouldn't be assuming their gender, especially considering they're standing...
@tdre_malik @3dClownShoes @MomsPostingLs Oh I initially saw this as she was the one behind bars. Man your mind immediately went there, huh? That's pretty racist dude.
Today, I flew my enormous private jet to Italy for the #G7 meeting about climate change.
So far this month I've flown to Europe twice, burning over 144,000kg of fuel, and creating more carbon emissions than a medium sized city does in a year.
We are in a climate emergency.
