Ian Margo / artist & researcher / digital frameworks & philosophy of language / the abstract & the format / desert/wet box / cofounder @bianjie_systems
Not only have we been co-curating this year @rhizome's 7x7, but we’ll also be presenting a project together with Disintegrator!
We’re so excited to be teaming up with them, from our admiration to their work as from the huge influence they've been to us.
Not long ago, we published a conversation between 邊界/Disintegrator on our website (link below)
Stay tuned,
It's gonna be amazing!
I have this small compilation of texts on digital frameworks where I talk about my perspective on playing and games https://t.co/Nwys5Gn92i
Also on s02 format here: https://t.co/qREOCGO7yc
I will be publishing more (& updated) soon
The point of the game is to stabilize a body using convergence and traffic — convergence can be absolute and traffic could collapse —//
—// IMEX (implicit-explicit) proposes a datum in-formation with no telos, a broken process of in-formation through processes of interfaciality and dimensions of representation — Here you see a small fragment of a gameplay of the first level ,, it’s still a prototype, but the first functional one.

Feeling like Burroughs again, loving the interzone, the noise coming from the street, talking with the agents all night, even better, becoming the agent, how about that
@rhizome has been holding the lineage of internet art and digital culture together for several decades. Getting to support artists, technologists, and researchers through what we're building at @fuserstudio is exactly the kind of work we're here for.
Congrats to 7x7 participants combining expressive practice into technical/scientific research to reframe the fields themselves and open up a completely third, secret understanding. And the friends you make along the way :)
INDEX is a project I have been developing over the last few months; it was installed in NYC at our event in collaboration with @GrayAreaorg and @FWBtweets, and was also shown as a live visual performance variation at Rockefeller Centre last week for the closing of @rhizome 7x7.
The project critically examines the relationship between technology and economy through the lens of digital frameworks and language.
It is a project about the dynamics of metadata containment and the production of information as a dynamic movement.
INDEX is a piece that forms part of a much larger project, and is the result of years of research and production. It has a strong philosophical grounding.
If you’d like to see it or find more about it, my DMs are open. This piece is also available for sale.
