After signing to Birdman and Cash Money Nicki Minaj went straight to working on her debut album. Pink Friday debuted selling 375,000 copies in the first week which is second all time for a female hip hop artist.
With Pink Friday and Nicki’s success it propelled female rap to what we see today. A true trailblazer and trend setter.

13 year old lighting up his future one candle at a time
Meet the owner of Smell of Love Candles, Alejandro Buxton.
Alejandro gained inspiration to start his candle company from seeing how much his mom loved candles but constantly threw them out because of headaches and his asthma. By the end of 2022 Alejandro sold over 16,000 of his candles.
Recently Alejandro was invited to the Drew Barrymore show and was gifted $10,000 by her and Daymond John. Alejandro will put the money towards candle supplies and underfunded classrooms.

“Belly” Did fairly well grossing $9.6 million even with the negative reception and controversies behind the film.
Belly was an instrumental film for black culture and black people in film.
