@Camp4 I was age 8 in 1980 and i think there’s a lot of rose-coloured glasses being worn here. There were reasons that movies like “The day After” were released during the early 80s: because there was a constant threat of nuclear annihilation. We all thought we would die at any moment.
@ThatKevinSmith - i just heard part 2 of “let’s be mallrats” on @DohertyShannen ‘s podcat “Let’s be clear”, and the first scene sounds amazing!! How do we get #twilightofthemallrats to happen?!? Where do I throw my money?? GoFundMe? PO box? Bus locker? Where do I send it??
@eddiepence@jennifersterger@eddiepence - i’m sorry you’re in Thunder Bay, the asshole of Ontario. I was born there, and got out as soon as I could. However, there is a unique pastry found only in Thunder Bay called a Persian. It is amazing! Go to Bennett’s bakery while you’re there and pick one up.
@CBCRadioCanada So I have to ask all the deliverence cast members responding to this: so in your minds, was the CBC always for the liberals, or only when the liberal government is/was in power? What about during the decades the conservatives were in power? Since they were always publicly funded.
@ambermac I think everyone replying about the government funded aspect missed the other part of the sentence: “…and may have varying degrees of government involvement over editorial content.”
Wait. Let me guess. There’s members of the liberal party in CBC, right? 🤦♂️
