@TheatreSpoonie For sure. I think there is a counter argument in terms of, you can switch degrees, you can change careers. But similarly, you can go off blockers, you can change your name back, etc
@samhailes only something like a quarter of employed people work 9 to 5, and retired people use the pharmacy more than working people. I get what you're saying but just to put in perspective.
@juicyjcaint420@theoceanblooms It is my understanding that in general a lot of US cities have less open grass space than cities where soccer became popular tho... e.g. London is 40% green space, compared to NYC being 14%. And I believe most of those parks are historic. but yeah no that's a fair point!

@Lou_E_Blank@reschultzed I mean, we would conceive of /ourselves/ as saying "straw-bries". A southern English person pronounces the "straw" in straw and the "straw" in strawberries the same way. A SE person would likely hear the vowel in an american saying "straw", as rhyming with how we say "car".
