Frankly, I didn't know Hawre Kurdi until this assault. I just had a quick look on his Facebook account. He is one of the few critical voices left in Erbil, mostly acting as an activist and has written critical articles as well.

@Sazan_Mandalawi Haha! Surprisingly the original Kurdish diet of grains and shla (typically beans, seasonal veggies) with trshyat (probiotic) and cultured dairy is balanced and nutritious. It’s the introduction of processed products and meat heavy ingredients that has made it unhealthy.
