A lawyer named Saiful Islam Alif has been killed in an attack by supporters of #ChinmoyKrishnaDas Brahmachari in #Chittagong. The incident took place on Tuesday (November 26) afternoon on the road in front of the #Chittagong court building.

Chittagong Assistant Public Prosecutor Mohammad Enamul Haque confirmed the matter. "The deceased Advocate Saiful Islam was a lawyer of Chittagong court."

Kais Uddin Didar, an eyewitness to the incident, said: "Advocate Saiful Islam was facing the lane of Rangan Community Centre. From there, he was abducted and killed by Hindu terrorists."

Yesterday, @NahidIslam_24 interview with the BBC on India and minority issues were articulated so effectively that even our senior leaders haven't spoken with such clarity.

He boldly stated something no leader has mentioned: not only Sheikh Hasina but India itself was against us in the July revolution.

On the minority issue, Nahid said that Bangladesh is capable of ensuring the safety of its minorities and that India has no need to intervene. Addressing political interference, he mentioned that just as Bangladesh doesn’t concern itself with whether Congress or the BJP comes to power in India and India should also refrain from worrying about who governs in Bangladesh.

This is a refreshing contrast to what other opposition leaders are saying. While BNP leaders insist elections won’t be credible without the Awami League, and Jamaat-e-Islami leaders consider the Awami League a "family," Nahid's statements are a source of hope, energizing us to continue the fight.

When many senior politicians had resigned themselves to the belief that removing Hasina was impossible, it was people like Nahid, Asif, Hasnat, Sargis, and Mahfuz who had the conviction that her removal could indeed be achieved. And they made the "impossible" possible.

Now, as these older political groups move to rehabilitate the Awami League, we call on Nahid and his contemporaries to take up the challenge once more. Form a political party, come into the field, and contest the elections.

When other political parties accepted defeat and resigned to waiting for 2041, you were able to unite Bangladesh against Hasina, bringing about victory. We stood with you then, and we believe that if you call on us to mobilize against Mujibism once more, the youth of Bangladesh will support you.

It may seem impossible now, but was forcing Hasina to flee by August 5 any less improbable? If we could overcome that, why fear taking on this next challenge for victory?

The days of bad influence of India will be over and their agents - such as - @ProthomAlo and @dailystarnews will vanish from Bangladesh, In Sha Allah!

বগুড়ার দুপচাঁচিয়া সদরের জয়পুরপাড়া এলাকার গৃহবধূ উম্মে সালমা (৫০) হত্যাকাণ্ডের ঘটনায় র‍্যাব-১২-এর বগুড়া ক্যাম্পের অধিনায়ক মেজর মো. এহতেশামুল হক খান জানিয়েছি��েন; প্রাথমিক জিজ্ঞাসাবাদে সাদ তার মায়ের হত্যাকাণ্ডে জড়িত থাকার কথা স্বীকার করেছেন।

অথচ দু দিনের মাথায় পুলিশ ও ডিবির তদন্তে বেরিয়ে আসে আসল তথ্য।

হত্যাকান্ডে নিজ ছেলে সাদ বিন আজিজুর রহমান নয়, বরং তাদের বাসায় ভাড়া থাকা এক দুশ্চরিত্রা মহিলা জড়িত। ঐ মহিলা আরো দুজনকে ৪ লাখ টাকায় ভাড়া করে এনে হত্যাকান্ডটি সংঘটিত করায়।

জানা যায়, ঐ মহিলার স্বামী নেই। সে এ বাসায় ভাড়া থাকেন এব�� বিভিন্ন সময় বিভিন্ন পুরুষ বাসায় আসা যাওয়া করত। এটা নিয়ে সাদের মা উম্মে সালমা অভিযোগ জানালে, তাদের মধ্যে ঝগড়ার সৃষ্টি হয়।

অথচ, র‍্যাব সাদকে জিজ্ঞাসাবাদের জন্য তুলে নিয়ে অমানবিক নির্যাতন করে মিথ্যা সাক্ষী নেয় এবং তা মিডিয়ায় প্রচার করে।
