@MandoFaithful It’s because the team is shit and he’s not staying once he’s a free agent. You need to trade an asset to get assets. The asking price is high but if a team meets it then they have to do it.
@TheGarrative9 This statement is old.. Trout chooses to be in Anaheim. If he told the team he wanted out, they would do right by him… winning isn’t everything. He got paid, will be in the hall of fame, lives and plays in a great place (especially for someone with money). He has zero pressure
@JaredStillman You’re an idiot… these are grown ass men. They don’t have to be friends to be a good locker room. I work with people all day that I wouldn’t hang out with on my free time. Doesn’t impact my work and doesn’t impact my work relationship with them
@CantHitWRISP You do realize the Angels success in the early 2000s was based on already established organizational structure. Arte has slowly torn it down
@SamBlum3 You’re not wrong but what is Kurt supposed to say? He’s a rookie manager and has zero leverage. His only hope is his next employer hopefully not pinning this entire dumpster fire on him
@AngelsWin I have a question for you guys. Long time Angels fan but I no longer live in CA. I haven’t been to a game since 2019. I don’t support ownership and how they’ve destroyed this organization. With that said I’ll be in CA next month, do I go to a game?
@BeyondTheHalo It’s going to be a long season. Already digging their hole. The rest of the season will be good streaks until they get around .500 then they’ll lose some… rinse and repeat
@JimMaisano Take the possible affair out of it. The athletic still has guidelines for its journalists that don’t allow for “personal relationships.” This is clearly more than a business meeting. Both deserve criticism but at the end of the day it affects her career more.
@FirstTake@stephenasmith Not to mention, he lives and plays in a great location… besides, I don’t think a trade would happen unless the angels are a ton of money.
@FirstTake@stephenasmith Have you ever thought that maybe he doesn’t want to be traded. As an Angels fan, I would love to see Trout move on, I would be happy for him… I honestly think he just loves the life he has. Tons of money and zero pressure. Plus he has time for family and all his other hobbies
@WHYCANTWE024 I don’t think his job is in jeopardy… I think Diana hurt her reputation though. As an insider she relies on relationships and it looks like this one went too far. Also, what info has she gotten as a result of this?
