Novo Nordisk's reports to the #FDA spiked shortly after an inspection found the #Ozempic producer was ignoring reports of deaths and potential #GLP1 side effects.

GLP-1 drugs like #Ozempic, #Wegovy and #Mounjaro are booming — and so are lawsuits. I breakdown what over 4,400 patients allege happened to them, how drugmakers are responding and what doctors are saying on @USATODAY's The Excerpt. 🎧 https://t.co/SFWMqPfNnL
New data show over 37 million Americans drink water that exceeds #EPA limits, with more expected as testing continues.
Altogether, about 131 million Americans rely on drinking water systems that found some level of #PFAS, which the EPA says is toxic at extremely low levels.
EPA limits on #ForeverChemicals in #DrinkingWater remain intact through major changes at the agency, although #CleanWater advocates worry these standards are next on the chopping block.
Check your local #PFAS test results in my interactive map below!

In 2022, only a third of the #SafeStreetsForAll program's rural money went to disadvantaged communities. This year, that leapt to 70%.
On the other hand, most urban funding has consistently landed in disadvantaged communities. #SS4A
Federal grants to fix deadly roads in #rural towns nearly doubled this year, after my @USATODAY investigation found they'd been left out. Resource-strapped "disadvantaged" places won most of this money to keep #pedestrians and #drivers safe.

@emily_lecoz Check the story link for this interactive timeline showing all the incidents we could locate for these 10 large ship management companies.
On today's front page, @emily_lecoz & I investigate the safety record of the #ship operator behind the #Baltimore bridge collapse in March.
We also looked at other similar companies & found dozens of incidents causing death and injury aboard their ships in just the past 5 years.
“The lesson from these low success rates is not that we should give up on the (#Section8) voucher program, it’s that we really need to scrutinize it and find ways to make it easier to use – for tenants and landlords.” #HousingVouchers@lucytompkins2
I’ve known I wanted to do this story since last Aug when I met 2 men in Georgia facing eviction from homes they once owned (yes. eviction. not foreclosure. That’s important). I pitched it on my first day at @NPR
Today it hit the airwaves on Morning Edition

Test results show hundreds of drinking water systems have exceeded new #PFAS standards. Is your area affected? I explain on today's episode of The Excerpt. #ForeverChemicals@ceciliagarzella@2400c@USATODAY

New @EPA data show about 300 public #DrinkingWater systems have recently exceeded annual limits for #PFAS, and thousands more will likely join them.
Check your area's test results on our map in the link. @ceciliagarzella@2400c#ForeverChemicals

Great address search tool!
Hundreds of drinking water systems exceed new PFAS standards.
The @EPA says almost 300 of America’s public drinking water systems exceeded newly established annual limits for "forever chemicals".

While reviewing the past two decades of @USCG incident investigation reports, we found at least 6,000 cases where massive cargo ships, oil tankers, container barges and even cruise vessels have reported what befell the #Dali: a loss of power, propulsion, or steering. @emily_lecoz
Students at Cal Maritime replicate the Baltimore bridge disaster using a 360-degree state-of-the-art simulator. See what it was like to be onboard the cargo ship Dali in the minutes leading up to the crash. https://t.co/MfbyUPhE55
Our analysis also revealed at least 2,600 bridge strikes in U.S. waters since 2002. Three of these incidents were fatal, claiming 16 lives in all.
The majority, however, were minor – a ship’s antenna or mast hitting a bridge, or a barge clipping a bridge’s protective fender.
