@Agnes2Noreen Like I always say, we need to empower the boys too so as to be able to match the empowered girls.
In this way, the world will be a better place.

"Chairman, a country without reserves is not sovereign. The potential of this Bill to destabilize Uganda’s balance of payments is our primary concern as a central bank. For example, last financial year the overall balance of payment surplus was USD 1.5 billion. That’s how we were able to increase our reserve coverage by USD 1.5 billion. Today as we speak our reserves are close to USD 6 billion. Why? Because these inflows have been coming in. The moment you tamper with these inflows here, we risk running down our reserves, and that is economic disaster for a country.” Governor Atingi-Ego on the Protection of Sovereignty Bill 2026 in an appearance before Parliament today.
Counsel @PhillipKarugaba responds to Attorney General @KiryowaKk's presentation yesterday before the committee on legal affairs.
He debunks the argument that the bill will only focus and affect foreign agents as referenced to section 22 of the Protection of Sovereignty bill.
House has adopted the motion urging government to recognise the sickle cell disease as a major public health concern that requires immediate budgetary attention.
Government Chief Whip, hon. @ObuaHamson said the issue of sickle cell disease is being integrated within the national health system by @MinofHealthUG.
“We are trying our best to ensure the availability of essential medicine. We are also encouraging public-private partnerships to complement efforts of government in sensitising communities about this monster,” he said. #PlenaryUg
