“Under every brick/tile of the floor of the parikarma in Harmandir Sahib, are the heads of 100s of Shaheed Singhs. This is how much blood was spilt to maintain this sacredness/holiness.”
- Sant Jarnail Singh Ji Khalsa Bhindranwale
A Gursikh once said to me that when you walk in the parikarma of Harmandir Sahib, don’t think that you’re walking on just marble floor - because under that marble floor, under every tile, lays the head & blood of a Shaheed who guarded Harmandir Sahib with his/her life.
Anyone got any recommendations on the following?
• Sikh artist - one that can design wedding invitations. Panjab based would be a bonus.
• Chola tailor - for a wedding chola, needs to be reliable, also Panjab based.

Don’t let a fallen tree stop you getting onto the M1.
Natural disasters either bring out the worst in humanity or the best. Everyone working together to get home safely.
The modern world is anti-motherhood because you can’t slap a price tag on it… and if you can’t monetize it, it doesn’t count.
In our hypercapitalist clown world, everything is measured by how much money it makes us.
Mothers staying at home, on the other hand, is a loss...
But what if moms did send a bill at the end of your life? Imagine an invoice for every sleepless night, home cooked meal, and ounce of love? You'd be in eternal debt.
Turns out, motherhood isn’t just valuable, it’s the most valuable job in the world. And we're going to continue to suffer until we realize this.
@KhalsaRajHogaya I get why Mohali/Chandigarh is a desirable location for locals to live but as a visitor, I didn’t really like it. Raat nu vi shaanti ni mildi si othe
My future husband’s family better have a nice house in the pind, where we can stay during visits - cos the kavan rauli & the humko tumko in Mohali ain’t it
God combined all His wisdom, craft, power, dreams & pleasures for the Prakash of Guru Gobind Singh ji Maharaj.
You will never find a Father as great as Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj. Happy Gurpurab!

Jathedaar ji delivering a sermon of simple hymns on a tour in late 1990 through small villages of Punjab (amidst the peak of ongoing Sikh genocide), encouraging congregants to take Amrit, abandon all intoxicants, make the best of their lives, and be fully devoted to God and their community.
Shaheed Jathedaar Gurdev Singh Kaunke left us with zero doubts as to what Wealth our faithful, valiant, and resolute Leader departed having cultivated in his life 🙏⚔️

On this day 32 years ago, Jathedaar Gurdev Singh Kaunke, head of the highest seat of Sikh religious authority, Sri Akaal Takhat Sahib, was brutally murdered in police custody after enduring a week of extensive torture and arbitrary detention.
On the day of his arrest, Dec 25th 1992, Jathedar Kaunke was at the Gurdwara leading morning services. He was able to return to his home, bathe, complete his extensive daily prayers/nitnem, and have some food. He informed his family that this would be his last journey and then, in front of hundreds of villagers, got into the police vehicle.
Jathedaar ji was a student of the Damdami Taksaal, a man of towering stature and unblemished character, and the dauntless leader of the Panth for more than half a decade through the most testing of times -steadfast in Sikhi to his last breath.
Yet another everlasting inspiration for the world.
#SikhHistory is riddled with such examples.
