Auch 2025 landet Österreich in der Kategorie „Nachhaltigkeit“ des Global Pension Index des Beratungsunternehmens @mercer mit 24 von 100 Punkten auf dem 52. Platz von 52 analysierten Ländern.

Mit der Note E liegt Österreich gleichauf mit Italien, Spanien, Argentinien und der Türkei 🔴

Gegenüber dem Vorjahr konnte man sich um 2 Punkte leicht verbessern. Im Gesamtindex erreicht Österreich Platz 47.

Mercer empfiehlt Österreich u. a. eine stärkere Einbindung von Arbeitnehmern in betriebliche Altersvorsorgesysteme sowie eine Erhöhung der Erwerbsbeteiligung älterer Menschen.
