2nd day off work with flu๐ค, last night I was fever-dreaming I was stuck under a bunch of minecraft blocks and I couldn't find a pick-axe to get out๐ .. not a fan of delusional sickness.
Today I thought I'd listen into a ๐ถ space on X, just see what folk are talking about and the topic was Dogebox! which was kinda interesting because it's my project.
A few folk were speculating about what it meant and someone chimed in that '.. several people in the community think it's tainted for some reason and dangerous, but IDK why'.
I find it interesting that there are still the same tiny group hating on everything to do with dogecoin development, spreading the same ridiculous fud year after year trying to scare people away from anyone they don't approve of.
Dogebox is an appliance that runs Dogecoin Core, and which provides a runtime environment with new APIs and services aimed at letting any developer build utility on top of Dogecoin. It's 100% Open Source, here are the current repos:

There will be half a dozen more repos before the appliance is ready for beta, hopefully around July. The @DogecoinFdn team have been hard at work on this since the start of the year trying to ensure we make the best system we can to see Dogecoin integrated into commercial platforms and hobby systems around the globe, entirely free.
You can read the code yourself and find the 'taint' (hint, there isn't any, just small minded insecurities). Software is hate speech apparently.
The great thing about the decentralised nature of Dogecoin is YOU the user get to decide what you do, software rises and falls on it's merits. If that intimidates some insecure folk who don't produce anything much themselves but want to gate-keep anyone who does, that's their sad problem.
If the Dogebox is useful - and I believe it will be - it will help propel Dogecoin toward global adoption by creating a rich environment for new devs to experiment, and existing devs to build and launch Dogecoin software in a fully decentralised manner.
I personally think that's pretty cool.
@cb_doge My thoughts are that doing this will encourage users to post information that is useful/important which will in turn increase the relevance of X.
It's a win win situation.
Dogecoin is a cryptocurrency that combines humor with a strong community and a focus on charitable giving. Its value extends beyond its price tag, as it represents a unique and lighthearted approach to the world of digital currencies.
