One of the cheap tactics Zionists use is to conflate Jews (a people defined by ethnicity) with "Israel" (a political entity/state). So in response to the legitimacy of "Israel" as a state being questioned or denied—as an occupation built on mass dispossession, ethnic cleansing, and terror—you'll commonly hear things like:

- "Jews have lived in this region for three thousand years!"

And? That's irrelevant. We're talking about the state, which is a 75 year old colonial construct and outpost which thrust Europe's problem of antisemitism unto a people that had not wronged Jews in the least.

- "A free Palestine from the river to the sea means the eradication of all the Jews living there!"

Err, no, it means the dismantling of the political entity and the establishment of a new one. Jews were there before and can remain after. Of course, to return the stolen land and make way for millions dispossessed, many Israeli citizens will have to leave. But that doesn't mean being "driven into the sea"; they can go from whence they come.

And so on...

Of course, the reason this conflation is (purposefully) made is to equate anti-Zionism with anti-Semitism (which, incidentally, Nikki Haley is doing explicitly now). It is a ploy to claim the position of victim by deflecting from the crimes of the state and making it out as if Jews are being attacked for being Jews. So it's all hate! Antisemitism! That everhandy card that all Zionists keep in their wallets along with their credit cards and driver's licence.

Too bad for Zionists that most people now see through this cheap tactic for the nonsense that it is.
