why the retraction?
makes absolutely no sense for @MercedesAMGF1 to NOT add a new ES & a new PU-CE to Russell's pool in Singapore

1. Russell has ALREADY used his ES (= battery) for the 10th consecutive GP.
His ES in Canada had exploded after 4.5 Grands Prix.
Antonelli has NEVER used an ES for more than 5 GPs.

2. a new ICE, TC, EXH, and MGU-K is a 40-grid penalty already; a 60-grid penalty doesn't make a difference.

3. What DOES make a difference: the 1st time a driver exceeds the limits for a component, it's a 10-grid penalty. The 2nd time they exceed the limits, the penalty is reduced to 5 grids.
If Russell gets a new ES now: if ever needs to get a new ES after this, he would only get a 5-place grid-drop.
If he doesn't: any new ES would get him the 10-place grid-drop. The PU-CE would give him an additional 10-place drop
= starting from the back of the grid AGAIN.

@MercedesAMGF1 is LITERALLY setting Russell up for more severe grid penalties in the future.

Antonelli's depletion STOPS at 3% and STAYS that way,

After qualifying at Silverstone, George was clearly devastated by the straight-line speed issue,something completely beyond his control. He stayed at work until 9:30 p.m. During that time, he even had to politely ask the Netflix crew to stop filming him. But shouldn’t that have been the team’s job? Also, I’m genuinely curious why no one is talking about Ant’s start. He dropped from P1 to P3. If he had managed to keep the lead, he wouldn’t have needed to gain an advantage by riding the kerbs, and maybe the car wouldn’t have been damaged in the first place.

I just found out Mercedes moved the fanstage schedule without a single heads-up to fans. This is George’s home ground, and so many of his supporters prepared all kinds of fan support banners and gifts, hoping he’d get to see them… Mercedes, you’ve let everyone down so badly.
