@BraveForGaga95 Neither Susan Boyle nor Taylor Swift(debut) album and else album artists
No hits single but album both achieved enormous sales figures
This is physical/digital era and streaming era’s difference
@BraveForGaga95 Some Katy cats is so fun….KP has never been an album artist, and her album lack cohesive flow
They keep assuming massive single sales = hugh album, yet this core logic simply doesn’t hold up in either the physical/digital download eras
@dollfatale911@AidansPrice@BraveForGaga95 Chartdate said in 2018 that pure sales of The Fame at 4.8M , yet it only received a 6× Platinum certified by 2020 once streaming equivalents were factored in. Meanwhile, the The Fame Monster EP only has 1M pure sales,but certified 5x

@dollfatale911@AidansPrice@BraveForGaga95 Chart date and Luminate’ formula is same
But different with RIAA
Luminate and Chartdate:
The Fame = The Fame + TF/M deluxe
The fame monster EP = EP
But RIAA:
The Fame = The Fame
TFM= deluxe + EP
That’s why in 2020
RIAA certified TF 6x and TFM 5x
Chartdate’s 12x = TF+delux sales
@AidansPrice@BraveForGaga95 According last RIAA certified
I don’t think The Fame eligible 11x platinum
Different with Luminate
At RIAA
the fame = the fame
The fame monster = TF/M deluxe +EP
@jtrtlrbbt@spotify_data using 2024 as proof that this year’s chart-topping single see low streams call “original streams ”
Maybe you should see June 2017 or June 2018
@jtrtlrbbt@spotify_data The real reason is that nostalgic tracks are trending this year, much like the disco revival back in 2020. On top of that, there aren’t any songs this year that can truly be called massive hits
@Joshhudsonkat3@Ari1548780@ViGIlanTe13HERO You forgot things:
Radio audiences were much larger in 2019 than they are now,so this single wouldn’t get nearly much audiences if it were released today
2019 has highly YouTube streams,but 2026 Hot100 not counted YouTube streams , so this single will lost a lot streams numbers
@BraveForGaga95 Releasing physical is just one part of it.
Like DWAS (they can release multiple digital versions) Either way, if multi-version digital had release in the second week, fans would definitely have bought them — the single was only 8 points away from top10
