Misinformation Spreader Alert!

Republican Michigan Rep. Matt Maddock (@matthewmaddock) is a super-spreader.

Yesterday, he made a post on X, claiming that “Three busses just loaded up with illegal invaders at Detroit Metro [airport],” before asking if anyone knows where these “illegal invaders” were headed with a “police escort.”

This is what’s wrong with America. Politicians should not be spreading misinformation just because it helps them sell a narrative.

It turns out that we know exactly who these “illegal invaders” were. They were the the Gonzaga men’s college basketball team, heading to the Sweet 16.

When people suggested that's who it may be, Maddock simply responded saying, "sure kommie."
