#WATCH | Delhi: Joint Secretary, Ministry of Power, Aadhar Raj says, “I believe most of you are aware that tomorrow we are going to present the entire proposal for the ₹20,000 crore budget that the government has announced. We have a meeting tomorrow with the Finance Ministry to finalise the modalities regarding energy security in the country… All said and done, we should all be happy about it. In spite of what is happening across the globe, and with the power requirements of the country touching an all-time high of around 270 gigawatts, we were still able to optimise every resource. Each and every demand was met across the country, and hopefully, we should be able to sustain this in the future. Furthermore, even though we do not have our gas plants as backup right now due to gas shortages, we have alternate means to fire them up, and they remain in reserve. So, we are in good hands…”

Shri Aadhar Raj, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Power, Government of India, shared his valuable insights at the National Consultative Seminar on CCUS in India on the theme, "From Pilot to Scale: Demonstrating Carbon Capture in Action through Technology & Innovation" at PHD House, New Delhi.

The seminar highlighted the critical role of Carbon Capture, Utilization and Storage (CCUS) in decarbonizing hard-to-abate sectors and advancing India's journey towards a sustainable, low-carbon, and globally competitive economy.

At the outset of INDIA-EU CECP (Clean Energy and Climate Partnership), Shri Aadhar Raj (IRTS:2003), Joint Secretary, Ministry of Power, delivered a keynote address at the High level round table conference held in Delhi today.

He underscored that "Shared Wisdom" and a "Learn & Share" mindset are the essential drivers of sustainable development. He further noted that future belongs to those, who plan for it today.
