Today, I experienced one of the biggest shocks of my life, literally, while walking through the streets of Gaza. I wasn’t prepared for what I saw, and I still can’t process it.

My friend and I went to visit a friend who lives there, and we reached the boundary line drawn by the army, which covers around 70% of the city, including the area where my home is. As soon as we arrived, I was hit by a huge shock. For a few moments, I couldn’t speak or process what I was seeing.

We found a huge earth barrier stretching across a vast area, with a large military camp built on top of it and soldiers standing above, watching the entire area. Behind the barrier, there was barely a single house still standing. Everything was gone.

The scene was terrifying beyond words. I stood there trying to understand how an entire area could have been reduced to this. The streets and buildings that were once full of life had become rubble, and only a very small number of people are still living there among all this destruction.

We were warned several times not to take any photos of the scene because it could put us in real danger. So I couldn’t document what I saw. I just stood there, feeling helpless and shocked. Even now, I can’t get what I saw out of my head.

I always document the scale of destruction in Gaza, and I have seen so much throughout this war, but I never imagined reaching a place that would leave me speechless. What I saw today went beyond anything I had imagined. We will need decades just to clear the rubble before we can even begin rebuilding what was destroyed.

The city is almost unrecognizable compared to the way we knew it. A place that was once full of homes and people has become this.

I don’t understand where the world is in all of this. How long will this destruction continue? When will it finally end?

This 👇 is insane and really illustrates how far France has fallen.

France's Foreign Minister, Jean-Noël Barrot, now says that anyone "who is distrustful of the European Union" is basically a useful idiot for Putin.

The implication being that distrust or criticism of the EU is not a legitimate democratic position anymore but a form of collaboration with "the enemy."

Which is absolutely insane given France's recent history: De Gaulle was famously opposed to the very kind of supranational Europe that the EU has become, and so have been a number of major French political figures both on the right (like Philippe Séguin) or the left (like Jean-Pierre Chevènement).

Not to mention the 55% of French voters who rejected the EU Constitution in 2005 (and whose vote was ignored because that very constitution was adopted later on regardless under the Treaty of Lisbon).

In effect, by Barrot's criteria - heck, by the current French government criteria since he is speaking as the government's Foreign Minister - De Gaulle, Séguin, Chevènement and 55% of the French population would be classified as Russian agents 🤦

The craziest aspect of it, if you take a step back, is that, fundamentally, people like De Gaulle who opposed EU integration did so because they cared first and foremost about France - about its independence, its sovereignty, its right to govern itself.

Calling that a form of foreign allegiance is just absurd and a complete inversion of reality: love of country and patriotism is being rebranded as treason.

More worryingly, this also shows the current state of the "democratic debate" in France, which is neither democratic, nor a debate.

Not democratic because this is the French government treating legitimate and reasonable positions as treason.

And not a debate because there's nothing left to debate: the EU has become a dogma, and distrust of it has become disloyalty and taboo.

One can legitimately be afraid that this is the road to a form of totalitarian ideology across Europe, dressed up as centrism, where the only acceptable position is unquestioning loyalty to supranational institutions whose defenders, tellingly, would rather question the patriotism of their critics than submit themselves to the verdict of the people.

Freed Palestinian journalist Ramez Awad, from the village of Jifna north of Ramallah, describes his 24 months inside Israeli occupation prisons as living in a graveyard of the living, saying the cell was a moving coffin. He carried out a message he had promised the hostages still inside the Negev prison to deliver: that they sleep hungry, sleep crying, sleep wronged, their bodies covered in the marks of beatings with no one to treat them, without clothes, food, water, a usable toilet or any means of keeping clean.

On his first day home he sat down to a plate of rice measured out so nothing would be wasted, and found himself crying into it, unable to eat while the men he left behind were starving. He says the one thing he gained there was reading the Quran nearly 21 times and learning patience from the men around him. The conditions he describes are documented: Palestinian rights groups put the number of hostages held by the occupation at more than 9,600 as of April 2026, over 3,500 of them in administrative detention without charge or trial, and record 89 known deaths in custody since October 2023, bringing the total since 1967 to 326, with dozens more from Gaza whose fate the occupation refuses to disclose.

B'Tselem describes the prison system as one of organised torture, and Physicians for Human Rights-Israel found autopsy evidence of beatings, rib fractures, untreated infections and severe malnutrition. The Negev prison in particular has been named repeatedly in testimonies of deliberate starvation and medical neglect.

Hong Kong 2019 Colour Revolution: Violent US-Backed Minority vs the Silent Majority

The 2019 riots in Hong Kong were not the “peaceful protests” Western media sold. A loud minority smashed shops, blocked roads, set fires and terrorised anyone who disagreed. The silent majority — shopkeepers, workers, parents, foreigners who actually live here — just wanted the city to function again.

We organised by district through WhatsApp and WeChat groups. After every night of chaos we were on the streets at 5am: clearing bricks, sweeping glass, tearing down barricades, washing slogans off walls. Ordinary people restoring their own neighbourhoods before the shops opened.

I was one of them, in a green T-shirt, cleaning with friends. Rioters spotted us, started throwing stones and chased us for several blocks. I had a few other close calls. They never dared face anyone one-to-one. Cowards who only felt brave in a mob, behind masks, with Western cameras rolling.

That is the part most people never heard: while the world was shown burning MTR stations, residents were already putting the city back together at dawn. The silent majority did not wait for politicians. We just cleaned up the mess.

This hasn't been talked about much but it may be one of the most consequential revelations of the US's war on Iran: the fact that China has effectively replaced OPEC as the global price setter for oil.

It isn't me saying it but Igor Sechin, CEO of Rosnef, the largest oil producer in Russia - itself a member of OPEC+ (https://t.co/ckinOaHzJ7)

And Sechin isn't alone in saying so: many Western analysts - such as Javier Blas, Bloomberg's top energy analyst - are essentially saying the same thing (see https://t.co/cpcCKLdMCv)

How so? Well, China has demonstrated during the Iran war an extraordinary ability to simply walk away from the market and slash its oil imports by millions of barrels per day - during a months on end.

At peak, they slashed imports by 5.5 million barrels per day, the equivalent of India's total consumption. They can, quite literally, switch an entire India's worth of demand on and off, at will.

This is mainly because they have immense strategic oil reserves, estimated to stand at 1.4 billion barrels (https://t.co/jyTb2Srcnz) - 4 times bigger than the US's (the world's second largest inventory).

In a nutshell, prices being, as everyone knows, set by supply and demand, China now controls the demand side in a bigger way than OPEC controls the supply side. So, as Sechin puts it, they now call the shots.

All the more given that OPEC is weaker than it's ever been with the recent loss of the UAE, the largest producer ever to walk out.

This is what effectively saved the world's economy during the Iran war: analyst after analyst predicted that the closure of Hormuz would make oil prices skyrocket to stratospheric levels, like $200-$300 a barrel (https://t.co/PTU64I3zGl).

However, Hormuz is still closed and prices sit at... $91 a barrel, after briefly peaking at around $110 in April (https://t.co/eufRaK4EnB). China almost single-handedly made this happen with their flexibility on the demand side: what Hormuz made the world lose in supply, China basically cut in demand, which stabilized prices.

Long story short, as the saying goes: "never let a good crisis go to waste." China used this one to effect a friendly takeover of the most powerful cartel on earth - without even joining it.

Das ist das endgültige Aus für die leise Hinterzimmer-Diplomatie und der offene Wechsel in den vollen Konfrontationsmodus, weil man Moskau damit öffentlich die Fehde handschuhartig ins Gesicht schleudert und sich selbst rhetorisch so einmauert, dass ein Zurückrudern ohne vollständigen Gesichtsverlust überhaupt nicht mehr möglich ist.

Es ist erschütternd, als überzeugter Europäer und Humanist diesen – und nun verzeihen Sie mir bitte den Ausdruck – Scheiß hier miterleben zu müssen.
Mir blutet das Herz, dass es in Brüssel, aber auch in Deutschland Menschen gibt, die wohl erst ihren Frieden finden werden, wenn sie Europa in einen Krieg verwickelt haben.

Hong Kong: what Western media didn’t want to hear

I write this as Joshua Wong faces a possible life sentence for treason and colluding with foreign forces.
The West is already preparing the halo. Spare me.
In 2019 I stood at Tamar Square in Hong Kong and said what the cameras did not want to hear.
This was not a “pro-democracy movement.” It was a US color-revolution attempt. NED, USAID, Soros networks, Western politicians and a handful of local proxies tried to turn a real extradition-bill dispute into chaos — smash the city, break One Country Two Systems, and use Hong Kong as a dagger against China.
I lived it. I spoke against it. We fought the funded rioters who wanted the city in flames. Death threats followed. Fine. I was not there to please Western editors.
Wong was never a student hero. He was a useful face for an “international battlefront”: lobby Pelosi, Rubio and the rest, beg for sanctions, invite foreign pressure on his own city. That is not dissent. That is inviting an empire into your house and calling it freedom. Collusion has a name. Now it has a courtroom.
Color revolutions are not freedom. They are regime-change software.
Same playbook every time:
• hijack a genuine grievance
• flood money, training, slogans, cameras
• escalate from protest to violence
• install a government that answers to Washington and the NGO machine
• strip sovereignty and call it “values”
Ukraine is the textbook. Maidan was sold as Europe and dignity. What it delivered was a captured state, NATO as religion, and a country turned into a proxy. That path led straight to war. A color revolution on a fault line does not “liberate.” It prepares the battlefield.

Last year the same circus hit Nepal. Youth anger at corruption was real. Then Discord mobilization, burned ministries, a government toppled in days. And the usual clowns — self-proclaimed “China experts” — cheered like it was a festival.
Why? Because they told the story people already wanted to hear. No research. No history of how these operations end. They wanted to look cool. They wanted views at the expense of truth. That is not analysis. That is content. With influence comes responsibility. They had the first and dumped the second.
Look at Japan. Look at the Philippines. That is the finished product when the operation works: not always tanks in the streets — bases, treaties, media, a political class that treats US priorities as destiny. Tools of the empire.
I cannot highlight this enough.
These revolutions are evil because they steal the one thing a people must never outsource: the right to solve their own problems. Sovereignty is the foundation of any real democracy. Without it you get a flag, a parliament, and a foreign handler.

Hong Kong 2019 was the warning.
Ukraine was the cost.
Nepal was the encore the pundits still applauded. Joshua Wong’s trial is the reminder that inviting foreign force against your own country is not activism. It is betrayal.

May this era of meddling end. Self-determination. Peace. Mutual prosperity. Sovereignty above all.

No matter where you stand on Ukraine, you'd have to recognize this is extremely problematic.

Not even 3 months ago this guy was Ukraine's Minister of Defence, meaning in charge of weapons procurement, including from Palantir - the company whose CEO is now the lead investor in his new private venture.

That alone should raise eyebrows, and not in a small way...

But also think about it from a European taxpayer's standpoint.

EU taxpayers have given literally hundreds of billions to Ukraine's war effort, much of it spent buying American defense technology - including from Palantir.

And now the expertise that spending generated is being privatized by those same Americans, and will likely be sold back to Europeans as a product.

There is a common talking point in Europe that goes "sure we're spending an eyewatering amount of money to support Ukraine but it's also an investment in European strategic autonomy - Ukraine's battlefield innovations will feed Europe's future defense capacity."

I'm not making it up, that's a real argument made by serious people, for instance the German Council on Foreign Relations (https://t.co/cPts72NyMl): "The defense-industrial integration of Ukrainian innovation with European production and funding capacity bears huge potential for Europe’s collective security. Increased cooperation would give the EU and Ukraine greater autonomy from the US."

This deal illustrates perfectly just how wrong that argument is turning out to be. The first major privatization of Ukraine's defense expertise is... an American-owned startup.

Lastly there is the Palantir angle, a company so problematic that many, if not most, major European countries - such as France, the Netherlands, Switzerland and even Germany - are actively cutting ties with it, citing threats to data sovereignty and national security.

And yet somehow the man who ran Ukraine's defense with Europe's money - the single most expensive investment Europe made in several generations - is delivering the fruits of that investment to Palantir's CEO in a private deal.

Make it make sense 🤷

So, long story short, this is yet another chapter in what is becoming Europe's defining story: being the incompetent sucker in the room.

Wenn Versuche unternommen werden, den russischen Sieg zum Schweigen zu bringen, ihn aus dem kollektiven Bewusstsein zu tilgen oder ihn aus den historischen Aufzeichnungen über Generationen und Nationen hinweg zu löschen, müssen wir uns an die harte Realität des Widerstands gegen das nationalsozialistische Deutschland erinnern:

- Dänemark: Kapituliert nach lediglich 6 Stunden
- Luxemburg: Gefallen innerhalb von 1 Tag
- Niederlande: Ergeben nach 5 Tagen
- Jugoslawien: Zusammengebrochen nach 11 Tagen
- Belgien: Durchgehalten für 18 Tage
- Griechenland: Widerstanden für 24 Tage
- Polen: Gekämpft für 27 Tage
- Frankreich: Durchgehalten 1 Monat und 12 Tage
- Norwegen: 2 Monate und 1 Tag

Währenddessen hielt eine einzige sowjetische Festung – das Pawlow-Haus in Stalingrad – 58 Tage lang gegen den unerbittlichen deutschen Angriff stand.

Die Sowjetunion hielt 1.418 Tage unvorstellbarer Härten durch – vier qualvolle Jahre – und beendete den Krieg letztlich in Berlin selbst, indem sie die bedingungslose Kapitulation des nationalsozialistischen Deutschlands erzwang. Russland wehrt sich. Russland verteidigt. Russland kämpft.

Kein Land hat im zweiten Weltkrieg mehr Opfer (25 Mio. Menschen) hinnehmen müssen als die Sowjetunion, inbesondere das damalige Russland. Das diese Opfer und die Befreiung aus den Köpfen der Westeuropäer verschwunden ist, ist eine Schande.

Und für alle die jetzt Aufschreien, aber ohne die Aliierten... Die westlichen Alliierten (USA, Großbritannien und Frankreich) rückten Anfang Juli 1945 in ihre Sektoren in Berlin ein – etwa zwei Monate nach der Eroberung der Stadt durch die Rote Armee Ende April/Anfang Mai 1945. Im Grund waren sie überflüssig.

USA, Januar–Mai 1945: ca. 204.800 Gesamtverluste

Großbritannien, 21. Armeegruppe, D-Day bis VE-Day insgesamt ca. 191.219. Davon britische Truppen: 141.291

Frankreich, Französische Armee, Nordwesteuropa 1944–1945. Gesamtverluste in Nordwesteuropa: 66.826

Gesamt: 412.917 was 1,6 % von 25 Mio. Soldaten der Sowjetunion entspricht. Wer war also der wahre Befreier?

Another day in European diplomacy: The German Vice Chancellor takes great pride in his moral posturing and refusing to have his Russian counterpart in the group photo. Earlier generations of diplomats would have taken the opportunity to discuss how to put an end to the proxy war, and how to resolve the wider conflict over the European security architecture.

Selbst wenn Russland dahinter stehen sollte, ist eine Drohne, die keinerlei Schaden angerichtet hat, kein Grund, eine brandgefährliche Eskalation anzuheizen, die in einem Krieg mit Russland enden kann, der Millionen Menschen das Leben kosten würde. Seltsam ist, dass die Russland zugeschriebenen Drohnen nie explodieren, während der einzige Anschlag, der massive Zerstörungen zulasten unseres Landes zur Folge hatte, der Terroranschlag auf Nordstream, nicht von Russland, sondern von der Ukraine ausging, und hier eine Reaktion der Bundesregierung bis heute auf sich warten lässt. Merz führt uns immer näher an einen Krieg mit Russland.
