@goldstone_tony@nhs_pensions@BMA_Pensions@AISMANewsline@NHSEmployers So I haven’t got my pensions statement as it’s so complicated and needs to be done manually by some random NHS BSA person / actuary, yet I’m supposed to guess what it might or may not show? This is impossible.
@DCRjournal Yes almost always, use a modified lotus petal fasciocutaneous flap by plastic surgeon. Minimal donor site morbidity, rarely get flap complications, can do bilateral if more volume required, doesn’t take particularly long to perform.
The Trust is disappointed that its funding application to address the critical building safety issues at Wycombe Hospital was not granted in yesterday’s Government announcement of NHS building projects. https://t.co/jCCQQ12scl

The NHS is completely BROKEN
It WASNT broken by COVID/Ukraine/inflation(*delete excuse)
It was broken by deliberate CHOICES to break it
RT if you want this/next government to make CHOICES to properly fund the NHS, reward its staff & provide better healthcare for UK population
@DrFionaTsang@BrookeJHB @emanuelegammeri And, whilst being talkative, I would be extremely concerned to formalise this by committee like the WHO checklist, which has impacted enormously on efficiency. They’d have us stop operating, calling everyone together, holdinghands, repeating our names and our roles….
@DrFionaTsang@BrookeJHB @emanuelegammeri Quite! Two points of interest: are surgeons with better outcomes more talkative? Does it help if there are students around being taught throughout? These may be surrogate interventions we didn’t appreciate the value of.
1/ A thread on Annual Allowance charges for benefits that never manifest
One of the most morally wrong consequences of Annual Allowance within #nhspension is where a member pays a tax charge due to a temporary increase in pay
Good news; there may be a chance to fix this
Pls RT
@goldstone_tony Thank you Tony. These aren’t ‘mistakes’, any actuary who passed A-level economics understands the principle of opportunity cost when comparing financial options. It’s an intentional attempt at deceit. They also do not count the personal cost or benefit of working another year.
@ldwijesinghe@RCSnews@BrennanSurgeon Most likely to do with feeding medical schools not teaching anatomy or surgery versus those that (still) do, I think.

@trentconsultant They weren’t supposed to treat COVID patients, but treat cancer and day case surgery in COVId clear sites, with nhs hospitals with A&Es & ITU doing the COVId work. And yes, due to space restrictions and anaesthesia and theatre PPE they did less than the year prior. Did 👍!
