Calling it now: Chrome and Mozilla will remove eMudhra as a G1 root, nulling them as a CA.
On 20 Oct, eMudhra had 24 hours to give an explanation of what exactly happened with the mis-signed certificate. They did not; asked for more time; and now blame โinvestors/customersโ ๐คก
I don't know if I can be mad but, if you get a handle via X handle market place, it fully belongs to X, and you lose it when you stop subscribing to premium + and that id will be blocked perma.
Idk getting a handle you want is pretty cool and all
Highly recommend engaging in the @X handle marketplace:
- it's free
- submit a request at at https://t.co/ox6VU1TJKr
- it takes 7-10 days to process
- they will handle the transfer
- you can request a premium handle every 6 months
- you can also request rare handles and they will do limited drops
Appreciate it Ian from Cloudflare.
I should have looked at pricing structure for DOs it was not bases on GBs like sandboxes are but bundled per 1 million GBs.
I should have known this and was testing stuff with like a 5$ overspend limit on top of Workers Paid.
This got bundled and my dot got an overspent notification via custom cf analytics mcp built for my all my cf resources, and immediately turned down the services when a durable object was in an alarm loop, because of repeatedly polled tool call (this was before pi-durable when I was trying custom steering, and stop and wake and this happened).
TLDR:
DO bills per million bundled GBs, which i should have been aware of.
Overlooked an error and left the regression deployment as is.
Kind of saved by pro-active agents(dot) in this case, along with custom analytics that delivered the webhook and dot removed the deployment.
The Rex iOS app testing program started today with external testers and includes dedicated iPad and Duo support. Lots of polish to go on this one, but excited to get this in the App Store soon (free).
@GoI_MeitY I hope the Federal Investigation is still on the cards for @eMudhra right? Or we just leave the investigation since they voluntarily exited the space after social media fear mongering?
@ryanvogel I sent this yesterday night. This could be a overall better solution to what IRLToolkit is currently, and slap a individual source publish to S3 as a service could be cool. But I am slow and token bound.
Let's make a Compute Exchange. Sandbox Compute Exchange (SCE).
And build a ORM around it, so that whenever a sandbox is scheduled for start whichever provider has lesser price at that instant gets to host the sandbox.
The ORM would be opensource and every sandbox provider should name a FDE from their team to align with changes on how they provision and be in sync with the maintainers.
And let's charge 0.05 cents for each provision, and disburse that to sponsor the maintainers, and host sandbox wars.
Idk man hard stoppage when you reach a budget is an anti pattern to what Cloudflare was supposed to be, but I think a toggle on it so most people have their sane is much important.
I was a victim of this but I had custom analytics and triggers, and a budget alert of 10$, so I got notified.
Hey @Cloudflare, can you help here? My card paid $6773 out of the blue?
There are no budget or default alerts even! No warning.
I was hoping to finish these experiments and then refactor for cost. I am migrating workloads from others to here.
I can't afford that sudden bill.
Hey if there was indeed social media amplification, you could have just MIMT'd our social media posts to dampen the situation using the security at the heart.
