#CHIPLAY24 started yesterday. Incredibly inspirational talk last night at @suomenpelimuseo by Bafta winning @TheJanePerry. We need to understand also the process of voice actors in games in order to make better games (or just basically understanding games). #chi#chiplay#tampere

"Transfluct" refers to a phenomenon in gaming where the experience isn't constructed in a linear fashion based on how elements appear to us in real-time. Instead, it occurs in parallel and interconnected "trans-fluctuations." In this context, the game's elements influence our experience in a dynamic, fluctuating manner rather than following predetermined or linear patterns.
@nielsen_holly History of science (part of my masters education) has been trad. separating humanities from science. Latter meaning natural sciences and former including also Arts. In Finnish language, such difference does not exist. But there is arts (taiteet) and science (tieteet) divide.
@RiotRMD GDC has become diverse. It used to be so much more homogenous. Now everyone gets a little bit of love and a little bit of hate. So many tastes and likes. However, I only heard positive on AW2 and Returnal - loads of love to Finland.
I did not expect the @playdate#GDC24 talk would be the one making me cry this year. I am so happy I made the decision to order it to my hotel before the trip! Let me know if you need someone to run an amazing Playdate game jam up at Northern Finland with northern lights researchers and international game design students and I am game!
