Modi govt destroyed the ISI-backed terror group Shahzad Bhatti Network ahead of Independence Day and thwarted its plans for subversive attacks by arresting more than 200 operatives.

Indian security forces ripped apart the network by launching coordinated operations across different locations in 14 states upholding a brilliant example of India's zero-tolerance towards terrorism.

Substantial recoveries, including IEDs, grenades bearing Pakistan Ordnance Factory markings, pistols, live cartridges, and CCTV cameras used for espionage, were made from the ISI-funded group. The network was involved in several terrorist activities.

Inspector Santosh Vaijnath Kendre of Maharashtra Police put himself in harm’s way while protecting Sukhbir Singh Badal during the attack in Nanded. Such courage deserves respect beyond politics or personalities.

It is not only for the Badal family to acknowledge his bravery. As citizens, we must salute every security personnel who puts duty before self and risks their life to protect others.

THE MEN WHO NEVER MAKE THE HEADLINES BUT ARE THE STORY BEHIND THEM.

This is Santosh Kendra, a police officer who saved the life of Punjab ex-Dy CM Sukhbir Singh Badal from a sword-wielding "Nihang".

His bravery in the face of mortal danger almost certainly saved Badal’s life. While many will say it is his job and therefore he was only doing his duty, there is a difference between having a job and having the courage to put your own life on the line while doing it.

Let's salute officer Santosh Kendra for doing exactly that.

Christians have been in India since St. Thomas the Apostle traveled to the Malabar Coast just decades after the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ.

But despite this long Christian history, India’s Parliament is considering amending Foreign Contribution Regulation Amendment (FCRA) rules to permit government takeovers of churches and religious charities.

This is a clear attack against Christians. If this bill proceeds in this way, it would be a point of major concern in our bilateral relationship with India.

If @SarvamAI intends to compete for global capital and become a frontier lab, they need access to large compute capacity and captive data pools. They also require permanent tax holiday if specific technical thresholds/capabilities are met. @GoI_MeitY can guarantee all of these.

Getting turned down by top American PEs and VCs can be largely expected. Some of it is down to the US’ unwillingness to financially back a sovereign Indian AI venture. The rest will be down to the financial opportunity simply not being sufficiently appealing. That said, getting rejected by SoftBank should set off alarm bells.

The question was never India’s to answer. If a Norwegian journalist asks, “Why should we trust India?”, that is fundamentally a question for Norway’s leadership. There's no need for India to seek validation from anyone on this account.
Too often, the Indian establishment still craves affirmation from legacy Western institutions. That colonial reflex needs to end. India has nothing to prove.
