Everyone is obsessed with AI agents.
The weird thing is that most companies don't actually need one.
What they need is a chatbot that remembers things.
90% of the "agent" demos I've seen are just:
Search
Memory
A few API calls
We've turned "workflow automation" into a new religion.
The winners won't be the companies with the smartest agents.
They'll be the ones that make AI reliable enough that nobody notices it's AI.
