A young IPS officer from 2021 batch has been posted as District SP Budgam. As a resident of Budgam District i welcome and congratulate this officer namely Mr K K Hariprasad especially for his first District Posting.
My earnest request to him would be to ensure policing which is aligned with law and constitution. Sardar Patel in his landmark 1947 address to the first batch of Indian civil servants advised them "to maintain to the utmost the impartiality and incorruptibility of administration". I am sure new SP Budgam will ensure no innocent person is harmed and he must act swiftly against the Mafia involved in illegal Riverbed Mining and Earth Mining in District.

This illegal work has plundered Doodh Ganga, Shali Ganga and Sukhnag streams and Karewas (small mountain zones) in last several years. The ban imposed on Mining by Supreme Court & NGT during last 2 to 3 years in my cases should be enforced on ground by Budgam Police. The DC Budgam @AtharAamirKhan is also very cooperative on this issue and we hope District SP will also assist him in this endeavour. Wishing you all the best Mr Hariprasad

Baal Sekhh ( Karewa Sand) sells like Hotcakes and not even 1 % of the Loss goes into State Exchequer. DC Budgam must take action and recover this Loss after visiting site in Nagam
