1/ No magic below key moving averages.
When indices trade below the 50-day moving average, explosive moves are rare.
Stay cautious, wait for strength, and don’t waste energy fighting the trend.
Times change, playbook remains same. Data and learning from history of data always helps. Have forgotten the count how many times I used these data driven insights/charts/stats to convey the message on twitter/SIMBA/YouTube/weekly PRACTITIONER sessions/workshop. Repeating in a playbook style.

Rajesh Power SME IPO Closing Today
Applying 👍
A Good Sized Company In The Transmission And EHV Cables Segment
FY24
Revenue : 295 Cr
PAT : 26 Cr
H1 FY25
Revenue : 318 Cr
PAT : 27.7 Cr
Orderbook : 2,358 Cr
(Very Good Revenue Visibility As Execution is Expected in 2-3 Yrs)
Company Asking For 603 Cr M.cap
This Is 25× FY24 And
10-11× FY25 TTM Basis
Seems Cheap !
Also Doing Capex Of 18 Cr For Cable Fault Locating Equipment And Setting Up A 1.3MW Solar Plant And Small Part For R&D in Green Hydrogen Segment (Not Sure What Work They're Exploring in Green Hydrogen)
One More Interesting Thing is, It Has Invested in HKRP Innovations Limited Which Provides IT Solutions For Power Sector Like
▪︎ Smart Feeder Management
▪︎ Virtual Feeder Segregation
▪︎ Solar Energy Data Management
This Company Recorded 131 Cr Topline And 25 Cr PAT In FY24 And Rajesh Power Owns 26% In It
BTW HKRP Innovations Can Be Compared With Trident Techlabs which Trades At 200× PE
So If I Give this Company A PE Of 30×,
The Stake Value Comes At 200 Cr
Rajesh Power Has Solid Clientele Like GETCO,
Reliance Industries,
Adani Renewables, Hindustan Coca Cola, Grindwell Nortan, IFFCO, Torrent Power Etc.
Personally Took The Ground Report, Good Very Good Feedback Regarding Execution And Future Order Pipeline
Yes, Concerns On OFS And Use Of Proceeds (Listing Expenses + GCP Combinely 38 Cr Which Is High) And Sudden Rise In Margins (Whole Sector Has Witnessed That And Should Sustain Ideally)
Hence A Mainboard Level Company Coming At A Attractive Valuation
I Will Surely Explore This Company Post Listing Especially If Doesn't List Well
The market will lure you with price momentum, but you can be on the safe side by checking business momentum. And please look beyond Sales and profit which can easily be inflated. Check this:
1. 3 and 5 year Operating cash flow (OCF) trend. If there's low cash flow, it's possible business has working capital issues. And a lot more creative accounting.
2. Open Annual report and check who are the Bankers. If you only see PSU Bank/s, it's a risk sign vs seeing Tier 1 Private Banks.
3. Check Fixed Asset Turnover (FY24 Sales/ Avg Fixed Assets) to know Business efficiency and compare it with Top 3 players in the industry. If it's very low, its inherent ROE generation is weak. If it's abnormally high, it may just be a trading business.
4. Check shareholding pattern. Are there at least 2 good quality investors holding/ increasing. Are promoters selling? Promoters may be selling even if promoter block looks constant. Also check who's selling under "Public category". Often times these are related parties.
5. Capex - Is the management sticking with capex timelines? Is the money even there or being taken out. And I believe, this one is happening in many "hot" small and micro stocks.
India's industrial sector (construction & machinery) has almost touched more than USD 425b in market cap, surpassing Germany's and Koreas, but India's aggregate sales and EBDITA are just one third of those countries, though with similar growth profiles.
Total market cap of shipbuilders in India is now 75% of Korean Shipbuilding sector with sales 5% of Korea's
Need to navigate next 12-18months with caution and avoid areas of excessive valuations.
