You need to read Sharjeel Imam’s 2018 article to understand that cow-related hate crimes against Muslims did not begin after 2014.

He documents incidents going back to the 1890s, with attacks reported in 1917, 1934, 1950 and 1968.

What changed after 2014 was the frequency and visibility of reporting, not the existence of the phenomenon itself.

I genuinely believe there are still a very few sane Hindus left in India, but I'm afraid they won't remain that way for long. They'll either be pressured by majority Hindus into becoming like them or gradually become radicalised themselves.
