To every social worker who takes the time to write a birthday card to the children they are responsible for: Thank you.
Its another way you help our little ones know that there are safe adults who care for them. #ilovefostering

Huge, HUGE thanks to all of the cleaning staff across the NHS.
They have been genuine lifesavers over the past few months, for both patients and staff.
Please spare a RT for all of them.
Do not get lost in a sea of despair. Do not become bitter or hostile. Be hopeful, be optimistic. Never, ever be afraid to make some noise and get in good trouble, necessary trouble. We will find a way to make a way out of no way.

I love the NHS. I'm very proud to work in the NHS.
But I wish that social care was held in the same regard by the public. Then it might get the resourcing it needs.
If you know Eadaoin Bhreathnach's excellent 'Scared Gang' series for children with sensory/attachment issues, she has now published a brilliant FREE resource covering #COVID19

A drawing from a book with many contributors about mental health, addiction and suicide. It’s only on sale till the 9th of April. Proceeds to Eternity- a charity helping with suicide prevention. https://t.co/EYmqRbKmLa
The Boy today "At home I feel safe, but outside, the world is like a tornado to me" A perfect description of his life with PTSD due to being harmed as a child (when he says the world he means other human beings) It's a shame PTSD is not highly recognised/treated in children.
It’s very strange how so many of the Key Workers we are indebted to and reliant upon at this moment of crisis, are also amongst the lowest paid in our society!
Why is that?
Time for a rethink and a reorientation!
My friend Colin Somers is fundraising for Poole Hospital Charity. Check out their @JustGiving page and please donate if you can. Thank you! #JustGiving https://t.co/Woynzj3cnB
Prisoner just asked me if I was clapping last night. He said the whole prison (HMP Parc) was doing it through their cell windows- the noise was phenomenal. He said it was also for the staff here too. I felt q emotional. @G4S@fmspear@manwithbooks@TheErwinJames@nigel74
Working in forensic mental health is strange atm. No one has any s17 leave, no cooking, groups limited, and most assessments on hold. Focus on providing any kind of comfort and distraction to distressed patients and getting them into the small courtyard as much as possible
