@0xGerber Ancient Greeks had 2 words for time that relate to that idea - chronos for clock based time (eat because it’s 12:00) and kairos for event based time (eat bc you’re hungry.) I love the notion of kairos and use it when I’m on vacation. Never thought of trying to work that way…
@getquip@dsjunnesson@ideo Hey @getquip . I've loved your product and sung its praises to many for 7 years. But your #servicedesign isn't living up to your #productdesign – modifying refills and shipments is WAY over-constrained with rules and limitations. You can do better!
@garrettwinther What the heck happened between 1985 and 1990 (or rather, 8 years prior) that the improvements flatlined? Were all auto engineers of 1977 just dialing it in?
@ryanrumsey I was once involved in a dishwasher design project, and I can assure you that you should not feel guilty - the VP of the dishwasher business unit couldn’t even get his own family to believe him about how it should be loaded.
Anyone else with Verizon experiencing consistently weak signal and/or slow data when you’re on 5G? I’ve experienced that in multiple cities on multiple days. Basically the exact opposite of what I was hoping from 5G…
This physicality of this electromechanical “pinball” game from 1962 is absolutely awesome. Check out the runners accurately advancing on the back display.

We need to stop asking patients if they want to opt in on “heroic measures” should a medical emergency arise.
Declining #CPR shouldn’t elicit shame.

So, we’ve reached 34 deaths per day from COVID. It’s a shocking number that really gets swamped over by all the other numbers. I’m going to describe the usual dying process in the ICU from this disease. I’m wearing my clinical hat, be warned.
“We must never forget that though the word [creativity] may be popular the consequences of true creativity can never be assured of popularity. New ways threaten the old, and those who are wedded to the old may prove highly intolerant.
@LeaneyStephen you not only made this girl’s day at the #AscensionCharityClassic when you stopped and gave her this token of Australia, you also bumped up her excitement about golf and going to tournaments with her dad. Thank you! Hope you enjoyed your time in STL.
