@daltenblake And peoples opinions on shift/no shift are fine. But the rules fundamentally seem to do opposite things if the goal is to make games shorter. Unless I’m just missing something. Which is definitely possible.

Curious of others opinions on the new rules. MLB has always wanted quicker games. pitch clock was always coming.

But banning shifts leads to more time allotted per pitch, more base runners, more runs. Which makes the games…..longer?

The rules seem to work against eachother.
