@AndyHolloway Been a loyal listener since 2016, you were my first podcast I regularly listened to on Apple Podcasts. While I’m still fairly “audio only”, I do use YouTube to listen to the majority of my podcasts, but I’m almost always just listening instead of actually watching the video.
@peekyblinders@di1499 The Cherepanov rule only applies before a player signs their entry-level deal. Rodion had already signed his, so the Leafs weren’t eligible for compensation.
@LeafsPapi_ “Great” is huge stretch if you actually watch Marlies games. He’s good at times, but he’s incredibly mistake-prone. Was absolutely horrendous in yesterdays game. Thrun is by far the best D-Man on the Marlies and is only one year older than Willy, he at least has NHL potential
@hatricklaine28 @Steve_Dangle Yeah but he’s clearly a much better player than he was then and this is by far his best season. And if you watch him this season, he looks a level above most of the guys. Maybe he’s like a Marincin, too good for the A, not good enough for the NHL, but he’s earned the shot to see
@Listen2Luke@Steve_Dangle Would like to see Ryan Tverberg get a look. Noah Chadwick has also been solid this season but not sure they need to push him to the NHL this season.
@LeafsFanMd Marlies are not desperately trying to making the playoffs. Top 5 in the North Division get in. They’re currently 11 points clear of 6th (with 2 games in hand) and being out of a playoff spot. Nice try to farm meaningless outrage tho
@papa_jazz13@JohnnyGiunta_ Yeah like I said, just since 2000 at least. More Game 1 winners have won than Game 3 winners. All time probably does swing the other way. I was surprised myself with how many recent game 3 winners lost the series. A few 4-1’s where the 1 was game 3 in there
@papa_jazz13@JohnnyGiunta_ Good guess but this isn’t true. At least not since 2000:
Game 1 winners have won the WS 20 times
Game 3 winners have won the WS 15 times
@Lang_2727@MIXBAKETASTE Why aren’t you saying it’s not right or wrong? You’re being the same way of who you’re criticizing. If ppl celebrated Kelley leaving without being nominated or having a vote cast against her, that would just as stupid. If you’re a true BB fan, you know this is objectively stupid
@grokonice @BR_OpenIce@grok It’s the Austrian league and it’s Kirk Furey (the guy chirping). He played for KAC for 7 seasons and then joined their coaching staff after retiring. He’s now their head coach. The other guy I think is Taylor Holst, who only played 3 years of pro hockey, all in Austria.
To grow all 4 million metric tons of bananas consumed annually in the USA domestically, about 114,286 hectares (282,500 acres) would be needed, based on an average yield of 35 tons per hectare. Suitable land in tropical areas like Hawaii and Florida is limited, making this scale impractical. Hawaii produced only 2,146 metric tons in 2023.
Domestically grown bananas would likely cost more than Ecuadorian ones due to higher labor and land costs. Ecuador's producer price is around $399 per ton, while US retail prices suggest higher production costs, possibly exceeding $1,386 per ton. Exact US production costs are unclear due to limited commercial dataTo grow all 4 million metric tons of bananas consumed annually in the USA domestically, about 114,286 hectares (282,500 acres) would be needed, based on an average yield of 35 tons per hectare. @yeszerofollwers@RaptorsShaq@TheBeerBar0n321 *53 wins in 72 games before the season got canceled, .736 win % for 82 games is 60 wins. Add Kawhi to that team they would have been by a mile the best team in the East. No shot a 60 win (by %) team running it back with Kawhi would have repeated? Obv we’ll never know but be fr
@jganz8@shawnnhl @pkmerch Like obviously the IOC isn’t thinking “maybe we’ll end the war by not letting Russia play”. But there has to be global consequences when you go around invading countries and starting wars, the world shouldn’t just accept that. Putin needs to be excluded till they fuck off, simple
@jganz8@shawnnhl @pkmerch No but the longer this goes. it could drive down popular support because Russians keep seeing they’re being left out of global events, And even if that doesn’t work bc Putin is a dictator who won’t listen to his people, we’re just gonna say fuck it carry on like nothing happened?
@shawnnhl@jganz8 @pkmerch The point is not necessarily to be a deterrent. But if you go around invading sovereign nations and starting wars, your country doesn’t get to participate in global events, or trade, or intl decision making until you fuck off. I think that’s a pretty fair rule for the world, no?
@jganz8@shawnnhl @pkmerch Obviously no one thinks the players have any blame. The purpose is to send a message to Russia, and other countries, that if you do things like invade your neighbors, there are social consequences on the global stage, like sanctions, or being banned from intl sporting events
