@NeilShenvi Exactly. One of the worst things we can do is treat black people as if they are monolithic. This actually flattens the critical and intellectual work that conservatives contribute to this conversation. Not saying they're always right, but they need to be heard.

At the "progressive" university where I did my graduate work, this was undoubtedly true. I would think, "I'd hate to be a straight white male at this school." They were literally blamed for every human problem in existence. Is this true of society as a whole? Your thoughts?
