I am appalled by the attempted arson of Temple Emanu-El-Beth Sholom in Montréal overnight. I am relieved nobody was injured and that a suspect has been apprehended. Law enforcement has our full support as they work to bring justice to the community.
Across our country, antisemitism has surged. Nothing can justify the hate, discrimination, and violence that Jewish Canadians are experiencing right now. It is up to all of us to name this hate and confront it.
We will continue to bring forward concrete measures to combat antisemitism, using all of the tools at our disposal. We must build a better, more just country in which Jewish Canadians will always be able to live their lives safely, openly, and freely.
Faits: Grâce aux investissements fédéraux, 4 100 enfants de plus dans sa province natale de Terre-Neuve-et-Labrador reçoivent cette année des repas scolaires sains.
Faisons-en une mesure permanente.
Fact check: Federal investments mean 4,100 more kids in his home province of Newfoundland and Labrador are getting healthy school meals this year.
Let’s make this permanent.
This verdict shows how Canada’s justice system still has a long way to go in terms of understanding & protecting women’s rights/safety. And the judge’s smearing of the victim is just more salt in the wound.
A horrible precedent has been set.
When families are strong, Canada is strong.
That’s why we are now delivering more support through the Canada Child Benefit.
From groceries to school supplies to child care, this benefit is helping families get ahead.

@Nate_Manis@rupasubramanya This is truly anti-Canadian behavior. Anyone who wants to come here and make this country better deserves our praise and support, not hate.
@JakeLandauTO@Nate_Manis Protesting institutional abuse isn’t the same as targeting worshippers and children on their way to synagogue, mosque, or church. You can criticize institutions without harassing communities. That’s what this bylaw protects against. Not accountability, but intimidation.
The creators of No Other Land did not call for ethnic cleansing. They did not downplay the violence of October 7th.
Were they harsh when they talked about the Israeli government? It depends who you’re asking. Empathy isn’t a zero-sum game.
It’s important to remember that not every disagreement or hard conversation is hate speech. We get more done when we listen and learn from each other.
What matters is the acknowledgement of humanity, the desire to find peace through non-violence, and the acknowledgement that there is no other land for Israelis and Palestinians.
#Cndpoli#Canpoli@PierrePoilievre said Mark Carney’s winter boots were too expensive.
In the meanwhile he just dropped $4,500 on 3-tickets to watch a hockey game.
Mark Carney? He’s watching the :/‘e game at a Canadian bar and supporting Canadians
Pierre: a total hypocrite
If your first instinct is to blame Canada for tariffs hurting our workers and economy, sit down and think again.
You’re either on Team Canada or playing right into Trump’s hands. There’s no middle ground.
Stand up for 🇨🇦 or stay out of the way.
Vive Le Canada!
Funny how every other time you shared a projection, you used 338, but now that 338 projects Housefather to keep his seat you change to some other pollster? Once again, conservatives only use the data that agrees with them.
I have a lot of respect for Trudeau. I think he’s done some very good things for the country.
Still, as a Liberal, it couldn’t be more clear that the vast majority of Canadians want change.
If the Liberals have any chance of remaining a relevant party, Trudeau needs to resign.
