@MuellerSheWrote While I agree, many progressives want the US to be a form of democracy that it isn't and shouldn't be (remove electoral college, add more senators, etc). So there is some logic to the constitutional republic crowd, but it gets lost on both sides the more it gets repeated.

@JosephPinion @ShownSolid I lean conservative, and "No Child Left Behind" had major repercussions. It forced school systems to pass children no matter their grades. Plus determining if a school is doing well purely based on graduation rates, doesn't help either.

That's how the power hungry government gets control, makes you dependent on them so you will never vote against that power.
