Orange Gate-Marine Drive Coastal Road Tunnel Project update from #Mumbai

Hon'ble PM @narendramodi will be laying the foundation stone for the project today.

MMRDA has officially awarded the project to L&T.

The length of the project will be 9.2 Km, 6.5 Km will be tunnels. It will have 6 lanes and the tunnels will pass below Mumbai #Metro Line 3
This project will provide seamless connectivity from Eastern Freeway to Coastal Road.

#DidYouKnow L&T used custom-made barges for the installation of the #OrthotropicSteelDecks in the #MTHL. An OSD is a bridge deck that stands without piers, allowing passage to ships sailing below. They also eliminate the need for cable-staying which would have hindered the flight of migratory birds.

Atal Bihari Vajpayee Sewri-Nhava Sheva Atal Setu (MTHL) - A Setu to our economic growth, seamless connectivity, and a greener future

- Atal Setu establishes a groundbreaking precedent by successfully implementing cutting-edge and modern technology in India for the first time.
- The bridge has used an orthotropic steel deck, noise silencers, sound barriers, and an earthquake resistance system.
- Deployed Reverse Circulation Rigs to cause minimal vibrations and impact on neighbouring areas
- Installed Debris Management so that the waste does not fall into the sea and affect marine life
- Installed India’s most intelligent state-of-the-art traffic management system
- Designed for 100 km/h commuting speed, the bridge is expected to carry 70,000 PCUs daily

ताशी १०० किमी वेगाची मर्यादा आणी दररोज ७०,००० पीसीयू वाहून नेण्याची क्षमता ह्या गोष्टींचा विचार करून पूल बांधण्यात आला आहे

फक्त पूल नाही, तर सोयीस्कर, सुरक्षित आणि प्रगतीचा नवीन मार्ग दाखविणारी ही पायाभूत सु��िधा आहे.
